The pilot course in the Philippines is designated by The civil aviation authority of the Philippines. CAAP is the regulatory body of the Philippine aviation industry.

It is responsible for releasing and maintaining the records of the license of the crew members. as well as authorizing any aircraft to fly.

Class 2 and Class 1 medical-

Before going to any flying club, one need needs to check if he/she is medically fit for  CPL or not. there is plenty of authorized class 2 medical center exist in India.

Once you get the certificate for class 2 medical, you can apply for class one medical in any medical institute authorized by DGCA. then you can choose a  flying club in the Philippines, but again you have to go through with class 2 and class 1 medical in the CAAP.

10+2 should be from PCM-

based on DGCA requirements,  10+2 should be from physics chemistry and,  meh. there are no criteria for percentage.

150 hours of total flying-  

There is a long CAR about the flying hour requirement, but 250 total flying hours (Indian requirement) is the requirement to have a CPL license. some flying hours will be on single-engine cassena 152, some will be on Cesena 172, some will be on multi-engine aircraft, day-flying/ night flying, day check day-check night-check, local flying, cross country flying, etc.

It is very important to choose a CAAP-registered flying club. check. CPL requirements are fixed but CPL packages do vary in flying clubs. one can speak with management and add and subtract the services. most of the flying clubs charge huge money only for accommodation/transportation. so It depends on negotiation skills, and how much you can reduce.

Aircraft and equipment of the flying club

Make sure their aircraft are best with all equipment, flying instructors are well reputed and never gone through with any accident or incident report.

most of the flying clubs charge for 250 hours of flying but never provide the full flying to students.

make sure to complete all the legal documents of the contract for the package before paying the full money, so later if they try to cheat you, you can take legal action against them.

Student pilot license:-

SPL is a short form of student pilot license. students will go through ground classes. There will be an introduction to basic aerodynamics/structure of aircraft/weather/navigation systems and equipment. next stage.

a flight instructor will introduce you to a taxi (handling aircraft on the ground), and 360 aircraft ( Basic check of the aircraft equipment physically ). To get SPL, one requires to have an RT license, and 10 hours of flying on the logbook.

Upon passing the SPL exam in the CAAP, you will receive your SPL license within 10-15 working days.

Private pilot license:-

PPL is a short form of Private pilot license, after fulfillment of SPL one can proceed to a PPL license, wherein if you wish to get a PPL license, the applicant should have at least 50 flying hours in the logbook. after completion of flying, one needs to appear in PPL  theoretical exam and check ride ( Practical test conducted by CAAP authorized check pilot)

COMMERCIAL PILOT LICENSE:- 

CPL is the short form of commercial pilot license. After successful completion of PPL, one can proceed to CPL, After completion of 250 flying hours ( Based on DGCA requirements, as every country may have different regulations, please check CAR), you can apply for CPL exams to CAAP, and after completing the exam, one can apply for a check ride.

After clearing the check ride, you can submit all the documents to CAAP and wait for 20-25 days to release the CPA license from CAAP.

Most Airlines asked for instrument ratings and multi-engine endorsement and on the CPL, let’s talk about the multi-engine endorsement.

There is a minimum of 10 hours of multi-engine aircraft flying hours required for endorsement.

after completion of flying, one needs to appear in a technical exam and check ride.

After having CPL with multi-engine endorsement. The applicant will require to get the verification certificate from the CAAP. It verifies your all licenses, flying, and certificate. for Indian license conversion purposes.

DGCA CONVERSION

To convert licenses in India, 2 online exams need to clear. These exams are conducted by DGCA every 3 months.

  1. Air regulation
  2. composite exam (Metrology and Navigation combined exam for CPL holders)

you can take coaching classes from any designated institute.

there are 10 hours of flying required in India for the conversion of a license. one can join any flying school authorized by DGCA.
