Air Kerala Appoints Industry Experts to Top Positions
Kerala-based Zett Fly Aviation’s ambitious airline project, Air Kerala, has made a strategic move by appointing experienced pilot CS Randhawa as its vice president for operations. This appointment comes as the airline prepares for its much-anticipated launch in the early part of 2025, as reported by CNBC.
In a strategic move to bolster its security infrastructure, the emerging passenger airline has welcomed Ashutosh Vashishth, a former military officer and renowned aviation security specialist, to the role of Vice President of Security. The airline is actively pursuing its aviation license from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation.
This follows the company’s appointment of Harish Kutty, a veteran in the aviation sector, as Chief Executive Officer last month.
Randhawa, a veteran of the aviation industry with over 50 years of experience, leads the Federation of Indian Pilots. His distinguished career has encompassed various roles at Air India, the Indian Air Force, and the Directorate General of Civil Aviation.
His expertise spans flight operations, safety, and airline management, having served as a Joint General Manager at Air India and Deputy Chief Flight Operations Inspector at the DGCA.
Vashishth, a seasoned aviation security professional with a decade-long career in the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS), brings a wealth of expertise to Air Kerala. With a background in the Indian Army and a collection of specialized certifications in airport security management, national inspection, and auditing, Vashishth is well-equipped to lead Air Kerala’s security initiatives.
The company announced that it has brought on board two highly experienced aviation experts to lead its operations and security departments. Their combined expertise is expected to drive excellence and ensure the safety of Air Kerala’s operations.
