In line with the growing trend of global airlines forming strategic alliances, British Airways has expanded its codeshare agreements with IndiGo and LATAM. The additional routes under these partnerships will be accessible to travelers in the near future.

As reported by Simple Flying, starting September 30, passengers can utilize British Airways’ code to travel to 18 destinations throughout India, including Goa and Ahmedabad. British Airways offers direct flights to five Indian cities: Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Chennai. The new codeshare tickets can be booked now.

IndiGo, India’s largest airline boasting an unmatched nationwide network, has further strengthened its codeshare agreement with British Airways. This expanded partnership offers British Airways passengers flying from London Heathrow through five Indian gateways the opportunity to access 39 additional codeshare routes, significantly improving their travel options within India.

IndiGo maintains its 6E flight code for independent operations. On selected flights sharing the British Airways code, all BA rules and policies regarding rescheduling and booking are applicable to all fare types. Furthermore, British Airways connecting passengers benefit from a complimentary light meal consisting of snacks and a sandwich.

British Airways is demonstrating its commitment to the Southern Hemisphere by doubling down on its presence in Brazil through increased flight frequencies to São Paulo and a strengthened partnership with LATAM.

Beginning on October 27, the airline will increase its flight frequency between London Heathrow and São Paulo for the winter 2024 season. BA already operates flights to Rio de Janeiro, and by expanding its codeshare partnership with LATAM, the airline intends to enhance passenger access to Brazil through its two gateways in the country.

Through the expanded partnership, British Airways will offer its passengers connectivity to 14 destinations across Brazil. This results in 20 routes being accessible as codeshare options for travel from London Heathrow to Brazil, with connections in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.
