Hurricane Helene Relief: American Airlines, Airlink, and the American Red Cross Partner

In the wake of the devastating Hurricane Helene, American Airlines is stepping up to support those affected. By donating 10 million AAdvantage miles to Airlink, the airline is enabling this nonprofit organization to deliver essential aid to communities in crisis. These miles will be used to transport emergency responders and relief workers to areas in need, ensuring that critical assistance reaches those most impacted by the hurricane.

American Airlines isn’t flying solo in their Hurricane Helene relief efforts. They’ve joined forces with the American Red Cross, a renowned disaster relief organization, to directly assist those affected by the storm. To maximize the impact, they’ve established a dedicated website (redcross.org/aa) for donations. Not only will your contribution help those in need, but American Airlines will also show their appreciation by rewarding donors with AAdvantage® bonus miles. It’s a win-win situation: you provide crucial support, and you get rewarded for your generosity.

American Airlines has demonstrated a longstanding commitment to humanitarian aid. Recognized as a Mission Leader by the American Red Cross, the airline has consistently donated substantial sums to support disaster relief efforts. Moreover, American’s participation in the Annual Disaster Giving Program showcases its proactive approach to disaster preparedness, ensuring that critical resources are available when needed.

“We are proud to join forces with Airlink and the Red Cross to deliver critical aid to those affected by Hurricane Helene,” said Ron DeFeo, American’s Chief Marketing and Communications Officer. “At American Airlines, it is our purpose to care for people on life’s journey, and we are committed to helping communities in times of need.”
