Philippine Airlines will inaugurate its inaugural nonstop flight from Seattle Tacoma International Airport to Manila on October 2nd. The new Philippine Airlines flights between Seattle-Tacoma International Airport and Manila will be long-haul journeys, spanning approximately 14 hours. These flights will cross the International Date Line, operating three times a week on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. The return flights from Manila to Seattle will be slightly shorter, taking approximately 11.5 hours due to favorable prevailing winds. However, these return flights will depart in the late evening, following a red-eye schedule.

Seattle-Tacoma International Airport has been experiencing significant growth in its international connectivity. The addition of Manila to the airport’s route map is the latest milestone in this expansion. In the past year alone, Alaska Airlines has launched a new service to Liberia, Costa Rica, and Seattle has welcomed seven other new international nonstop services, including destinations like Toronto and Munich. This impressive growth showcases the airport’s increasing appeal as a global hub.

The Port of Seattle recognizes the significant Filipino population in the region, which is the fourth-largest in the United States. This demographic plays a key role in the decision to launch Philippine Airlines’ new service from Manila. With the addition of Manila to its network, Seattle-Tacoma International Airport now offers connections to 34 countries served by 28 different airlines, further solidifying its position as a major international gateway.
